The Eagle Eye Book Shop is one of the 76 independent bookstores praised in a new book titled "My Bookstore: Writers Celebrate Their Favorite Places to Browse, Read, and Shop."

Atlanta mystery novelist David Fulmer wrote the chapter about the Eagle Eye, and on Saturday night he signed copies at the shop on North Decatur Road.

About 30 people showed up to buy copies, enjoy drinks and snacks and browse the shelves.

The Eagle Eye sells copies of the book, which has a list price of $23.95.

Richard Russo was the editor for the book. An exerpt from his introduction ran recently in Parade magazine.
