Gregg Allman Coming to Eagle Eye Book Shop in May

The legendary rocker comes in support of his new memoir "My Cross to Bear."

Gregg Allman is coming to North Decatur.

The legendary rocker and founding member of The Allman Brothers Band will visit Eagle Eye Book Shop on May 8 to support his forthcoming memoir, "My Cross to Bear."

It's expected to be one of the book shop's biggest – if not the biggest – events in its history. Gaining entrace to the signing event won't be free either. You have to buy Allman's book first.

Here are the details:

Mr. Allman will be at Eagle Eye Book Shop Tuesday, May 8th, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM to greet his fans and to sign copies of My Cross to Bear.

Purchase your copy of My Cross to Bear (on sale May 1st, $27.99) from Eagle Eye and this will entitle you to a numbered admittance ticket. Tickets will be given out on Tues. May 8beginning at 10 AM on a first come, first served basis.

This will be a signing-only event. Mr. Allman will not be giving a talk.

Due to anticipated attendance, there will be no posed photos.   Photos from line are fine.

Mr. Allman will only be signing My Cross to Bear.

He will not be signing memorabilia or inscribing the book.

The book shop lost an opportunity to bring filmmaker Kevin Smith to the store last month. They've followed up with something much bigger, potentially.
