Taquería El Vecino Hopes to Reopen Sept. 10
The Oak Grove restaurant is closing to expand its space into a portion of Carolyn's Cupcakes next door.
Although Oak Grove's Taquería El Vecino is closing to expand a bit into neighboring Carolyn's Cupcakes, the restaurant hopes to reopen Sept. 10.
The Mexican restaurant's expansion is set to begin Aug. 19 following approvals from DeKalb County, the restaurant announced on its blog.
Due to the renovations, Carolyn's Cupcakes also announced on their own blog that the final day to place an order is Aug. 15, and the final day to pick it up is two days later.
Check out either blog for more information about the renovations.

I am excited for them. I love the food, however, last time I ate there (a few weeks ago) I had to pick up two BIG(dead) bugs from the dining room floor. I hope they clean up a little bit before they reopen.

Great news on the expansion. I wish continued success to the Atherholts and El Vicino as a great example of our community's viability for neighborhood restaurants.
