The Week in Review

The top five stories from the previous week in North Druid Hills-Briarcliff Patch.

  1. Good Growth DeKalb Appeals Walmart Supercenter Building Permit: So far we've seen Good Growth DeKalb's sizzle. Is this to be the steak? We will find out soon enough.
  2. Ellis: Cityhood, Annexations Harm County Government: DeKalb County CEO Burrell Ellis gave this speech here in North Druid Hills, and he indirectly referenced the bubbling cityhood push here as well. Worth noting.
  3. Northlake Mall Announces New Stores: None of the commenters seem to be thrilled by the stores announced here, but judge for yourself.
  4. Coyote Strategies Discussed at Meeting: This meeting was held in Decatur. But coyotes have quickly become a bit of a force in our area, and it doesn't look like they're going anywhere. Good information to consider.
  5. 10,000 Lose Power in Metro Atlanta After Storms: A small price to pay considering the damage in other areas of the state.
