AAA Car Care Plus in Toco Hill Shopping Center has closed off part of its parking lot and is expanding to offer new services.

The existing shop offers automotive repair services, but signs posted around the new construction say the expanded shop will offer travel, insurance and AAA membership services.

It's good news for the center, which suffered a setback more than a year ago when the space's previous tenant, Blockbuster, closed down. The national movie rental chain shut down most of its stores across the country, and several locations have not been replaced with new tenants, including the former Blockbuster location in Shamrock Plaza near North DeKalb Mall.
