What Should Go Here?
How would you replace the old auto repair place next to Kim's Cleaners on Clairmont Road? Tell us in the comments section below.
Admittedly, What Should Go Here? must be the most depressing feature on North Druid Hills-Briarcliff Patch. It's just empty buildings, and then I throw it at you to fill it up. Just an oberservation. Ugh.
ANYWAY, there's a pressing vacancy in the 1500 block of Clairmont Road next to Kim's Dry Cleaner. I never patronized any of those businesses for no reason in particular, so I don't quite remember anything being there, but a sign indicates that it was an auto repair shop.
It's an interesting location. It's right next to Emory's Clairmont campus. It's there next to those apartment and retirement complexes as well. Within walking distance of both. Plus, you got the Atlanta VA Medical Center. You could almost see that area become a little commercial node.
What would you put in the old repair shop next to Kim's Dry Cleaner? Tell us in the comments section.

A coffee shop. Tons of people live nearby and could walk there, so the minuscule parking area wouldn't be an issue and someone could make money hand over fist (especially if free wifi was involved).

Second the coffee shop. It's under the train tracks, so if a train comes by while you order, you get a buck off. Like the tavern near the tracks in Tucker.

A coffe shop and fresh fruit/veggie juice/snacks for the health minded. There is that funky office complex nearby with yoga and Two Crafty Chix so the could get some pull from their.
