Goldberg's Bagel Company & Deli, a small Atlanta-area chain, is opening a new location in Toco Hills Promenade. Although it isn't quite open for business, the chain has set up in the shopping center, which just completed a year-long redevelopment phase that included a redesigned parking lot, new storefront lighting, green screening and landscaping and more pedestrian friendly walkways. The center is owned by Edens & Avant, a Columbia, S.C.-based shopping center company. Patch hasn't been able to reach Goldberg's co-owner Wayne Saxe to talk about his expanding bagel company. New single-family condominums could be coming. On Nov. 16, the county considered an application from Dillard & Galloway, an Atlanta law firm, to rezone an eight-acre chunk of land framed by North Druid Hills Road, Goodwin Road, East Roxboro Road and Wright Avenue. The firm wants the zoning changed from Single-Family Residential to Residential-Neighborhood Conservation District to build a single-family detatched condominium development. The item was deferred.
