I'm sad to say that your "Goodwill Ambassador", the Uncle Jesse look-a-like contest winner, is pissing off a lot of people. Our group went there last week and wound up leaving before the meeting even started. We were there early and some of us went inside while others stayed out to smoke. "Jesse" went up to the outside group and was bitchin' about that those cocaine addicts weren't welcome there. That this was a place for alcoholics, NOT for druggies. That group just figured him to be a racist because most of them were Black. So we all, Black and White, got in the van and went to NABA. The very next day a White guy (who was not there the day before) was at the Biscayne Room 45 minutes before the meeting and was helping to re-arrange the chairs for the 8:00 meeting. Mr. Ambassador rudely informed him that "This is OUR meeting until 7:30" and that he had no right to be moving anything around. This gentleman mentioned the incident to his sponsor. The sponsor knew whom he was talking about and shared that he no longer went to ANY meetings at Biscayne because of this same gentleman.

This self-appointed God of Biscayne is a cancer to anything AA related. He needs to be taken down a notch or twelve.

I am a alcholic which is a drug and substance abuser. I have 13 months clean but is stubborn about going to meetings. I Have been in the Peachford House program' I am black and I use to enjoy coming to your club house. Don't let a few destroy what God is sponsoring.

My God restore Your fellowship room.
