Homecoming Week at Lakeside
Hey, Vikings. Send Patch photos from this week's activities.
As the father of two Lakeside High School graduates, I know what a big deal Homecoming Week is for the school. Here are five things going on, courtesy of the Lakeside PTSA newsletter.
Homecoming Bonfire/Festivities: Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 5- 7 p.m. Each class sponsors a table. It is also the night of the Powder Puff game.
Homecoming Parade: Friday, Nov. 1, at 4:30 p.m. Class banners and decorated cars/trucks will be in the parade.
Homecoming Game: Friday, Nov. 1, at Adams Stadium vs. North Atlanta at 7:30 p.m.
Homecoming Dance: Saturday, Nov. 2, from 8-11 p.m. in the gym.
Homecoming Dress-up Days: (Tuesday ought to be interesting.)
Monday, Oct. 28: America Monday -- Patriotic red, white and blue attire
Tuesday, Oct. 29: Toga Day -- Greek/Roman attire (students must wear school appropriate attire underneath toga)
Wednesday, Oct. 30: T-winsday -- dress alike with someone else
Thursday, Oct. 31: Class Pride Day
Seniors -- Superheroes and Villains
Juniors -- Zoo/Safari Day
Sophomores -- Disney Characters
Freshmen -- Western Day
Friday, Nov. 1: Viking Spirit Day. Purple and Gold all the way!
