Atlanta Composer, Dan Veach, World Premiere

The Atlanta Community Symphony Orchestra, led by director Juan R. Ramirez, presents a gala concert to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Shearith Israel Shelter for Homeless Women.
The concert will give world premiere performances of two compositions by Atlanta poet and composer Dan Veach: "Elegy for Anna Lee" and "Psalm 23” The repertoire will include works by Bizet and Tchaikovsky. Mr. Veach is the editor of Atlanta Review and his book Elephant Water recently won the Georgia Author of the Year Award in poetry.
