Bethany Christian Services Hosts Open House at Counseling Center

Announcement from Bethany Christian Services:

WHO: The recently added outpatient mental health Counseling Center of the Atlanta office of Bethany Christian Services (BCS), a global family preservation and child welfare agency.

WHAT: An open house featuring complimentary refreshments, tours of the facility and an opportunity to speak with staff about the programs offered.

WHEN: Friday, October 25, from 2 to 6 p.m.

WHERE: 13 Corporate Square, Suite 107 Atlanta, GA 30329 770-455-7111 

WHY: To introduce the community to the staff and services at the center which include: pregnancy counseling; individual, family and group counseling, such as Intensive Family Intervention (IFI) and ADOPTS therapy for adopted children; and Comprehensive Child and Family Assessments (required by the Georgia Department of Human Services for each child and family entering foster care and utilized as a guide for development of a case plan).

 HOW: BCS’s counselors are clinically certified and trained to work with children (ages 4-18), adults, couples, families and groups. The therapists develop treatment plans that ensure that spiritual, emotional and mental health goals are addressed in a timely manner. Counseling topics include but are not limited to: abuse/neglect, adjustment issues, adoption issues, anxiety and depression, behavioral or learning difficulties, developmental concerns, eating disorders, grief/loss concerns, marital difficulties, peer/sibling conflicts, separation and divorce, stress or anger management and substance abuse.   The BCS Counseling Center therapists are Medicaid/Peach State providers and are on most insurance panels, such as Peachtree, Aetna, Cigna and Blue Cross Blue Shield. BCS coordinates payments for service with the insurance company, adoption subsidy or Medicaid program and makes counseling affordable by offering a sliding fee scale to uninsured clients.
