Turn 2 Massage
“Pink” Spa Day for Grady Hospital breast cancer patients
ATLANTA (Sept 4, 2013) – In conjunction with the WNBA Atlanta Dream, Turn 2 Massage provided a spa day for breast cancer patients at Grady Hospital.
Turn 2 Massage teamed up with the Atlanta Dream to provide chair massage and manicures to the women undergoing treatment at Grady’s Breast Cancer Center. Players were at the Sept. 3 event to meet patients and sign autographs.
“The deserving patients at Grady received pampering and relaxation during a very difficult time in their lives,” Turn 2 Massage owner Michelle DiGaetano said. “After their massage, we helped lift their spirits even more as they enjoyed manicures that helped them look and feel better.”
In addition to coping with a breast cancer diagnosis, pain experienced from the side effects of treatment can be overwhelming. Just 10 or 15 minutes of massage can help alleviate pain and relieve some of the mental stress patients experience.
Turn 2 Massage was honored to participate in this very special event for the second consecutive year.
