A couple weeks back my wife and I took a chance on the way back from Stone Mt. and went out for Barbeque at a place we had not eaten prior and so we stopped in at The Greater Good Barbecue in Tucker. Initially we just wanted to show our Northwestern out of town family what Southern Barbeque was like and figured they wouldn’t know the difference. Well the Bar in Barbeque has been set to a new high and I am not sure the folks we took will ever taste better. The Greater Good Barbeque is awesome and my mouth waters just saying their name. We started out with a plate of deep fried barbeque ribs and fried okra to share and let me tell you they were incredible! After buzz sawing the plate of appetizers we all ordered different plates. My wife ordered the slider sampler, my sister-in-law order the three meat sampler and I ordered the brisket. We ordered sides of Mac&Cheese, Coleslaw and Texas Toast. Take my word, this was the best, most flavorful, brisket I have ever eaten and I was only able to finish half. I tried every sauce but fell in love with the crimson colored smokey flavored House and the Carolina. The sides were large and tasty. We also tried the burnt ends which I will definitely order in an upcoming visit. This place was friendly, clean, and offered prompt service. We dined on the porch and it was simply awesome! 5 stars out of 5 from me and so good I had to say something publicly. One final note: if you have fallen in love as we have with the tasty Taqueria Los Hermanos you will truly enjoy The Greater Good Barbecue because its BBQ on a better level, think big flavorful upgrade.
