'Christmas in the Grove' Competes for $50K Monday Night

Falcons game prevents local TV viewers from watching live "Great Christmas Light Fight."

Monday night is decision time as the Paradowski family from the Oak Grove neighborhood battles three other families for a $50,000 prize on ABC's "Great Christmas Light Fight."

Area TV viewers will not be able to watch the show live as the Atlanta Falcons face the 49ers Monday night, and WSB-TV will air ESPN's gamecast. Channel 2 apparently will air the show at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday and repeat it at another point.

Online, live feeds from abc.com and the Watch ABC app are not yet available in the Atlanta market. There are unauthorized feeds available online if you can't wait. (Not that we're suggesting that.)

The Paradowskis are competing against holiday displays in Fort Lauderdale, FL; Norman, OK; and Mechanicsville, VA. TV Guide has an exclusive trailer from the Monday night show.

Tony and Katie Paradowski launched their annual holiday light extravaganza -- Christmas in the Grove -- on Thanksgiving night. The display at 1428 Oak Grove Drive has drawn visitors from throughout the metro area.

The display, featuring 115,000 lights, continues through Jan. 1, weather permitting. Check the Christmas in the Grove Facebook page on nights with bad weather. (Sunday night's heavy rains forced the show to be canceled.)

The Paradowskis have been urging visitors to donate to the ALS Foundation of Georgia.

Should the Paradowskis win the prize, they would be the second Georgia family to be successful. A Stockbridge family won $50,000 on a previous episode.
