Park Pride Gives Grants to 2 Area Parks

Little Creek Farm and Mary Scott Nature Park were among the 16 parks to get grants.

Park Pride recently announced that it is giving monetary grants to 16 parks throughout the metro Atlanta area, including two in North Druid Hills-Briarcliff.

The Little Creek Farm was given $5,000 to help renovate their horse arena. The Mary Scott Nature Park got $10,000 for help in controlling invasive species of plants and landscaping.

Other grants for area parks are earmarked for things like playground improvements, dog parks, fixing graffiti, water fountains and water play structures.

Park Pride is a nonprofit that is dedicated to improving parks in Atlanta. They help governments, foundations, corporations, other nonprofits and Friends of the Park groups to create more and better parks throughout the city.
