Streets Close Sunday for First Annual Open Streets DeKalb

The streets of Emory Village will close on Sunday to motorists to be opened to performers and "human-powered" activities.

The first annual Open Streets DeKalb features a capella groups, jugglers, improv troupes and choirs, as well as bouncy houses, bicycle repair and Farm Mobile as well.

The event is a chance to reconnect with neighbors while participating in "human-powered" activities, according to a flier from Open Streets DeKalb.

The event takes place, rain or shine, on Sunday from 3-6 p.m.

North Decatur Road will be closed between the Lullwater Road roundabout and the Emory University roundabout (both roundabouts will remain open to traffic), and South Oxford Road to Clifton Road.

Walk to the event or park for free at Emory’s Oxford Road or Fishburne visitor parking decks.

For more information about the event, which is sponsored by the Alliance to Improve Emory Village and with support from Village businesses and DeKalb County, visit Open Streets DeKalb.
