'Teen Wolf' Renames Briarcliff High School

Signs renaming the shuttered school on North Druid Hills Road as "Beacon Hills High School" recently appeared.

The MTV series Teen Wolf has renamed the old Briarcliff High School on North Druid Hills Road.

It's now called Beacon Hills High School.

Signs renaming the school recently appeared in the front and rear of the property. Beacon Hills is the fictional California setting of the show, which follows the journey of a high school student and social outcast who is bitten by and transformed into a werewolf.

Several letters from the sign on the school's front appear to have been removed – either by the production or, unfortunately, vandals.

So, for Briarcliff High alumni, you hold a dual degree now. Except part of it is completely useless because the school operates in a fictional reality. Created for a TV show you probably don't watch (given the demographics).

The MTV series has been shooting on and off at Briarcliff High for nearly two years. Its second season debuts in June.

Stealing the letters...keeping it klassy in central Dekalb!

The letters were not put up very well, and keep falling off. If you had looked closely, you may have seen them behind the bushes when you were taking pictures. The crew just keeps putting them back up when they come back to film.

No, I didn't check the bushes, Kirsten. I took the photos from inside my car. The production usually has a security guard on duty pacing around the school. I just wanted to get the photos and get out of there before he showed up.
