LA Fitness Coming to Suburban Plaza

A Starbucks with a drive-thru is one of "several exciting restaurant prospects" at the North Decatur shopping center.

An LA Fitness is coming to Suburban Plaza, the shopping center's developers said this week.

Selig Enterprises announced the new tenant in a letter to the community given to the Medlock Area Neighborhood Association, which posted it on its blog.

The company, which owns Suburban Plaza and is overseeing its redevelopment, also said it is still negotiating with potential tenants named by attorneys representing DeKalb County last week, including Ross Dress for Less, Jo-Ann fabric and crafts and HomeGoods.

Among several "exciting restaurant prospects" is a Starbucks coffee shop with a drive-thru, the letter said.

See the full letter, signed by Selig Senior Vice President Bill Stogner, on MANA's website, including his thoughts on Good Growth DeKalb's lawsuit against the county that claims the county did not follow its own ordinances when it issued Walmart a construction permit to a new store in Suburban Plaza.
