Toco Hill Publix to Nix Curbside Service?

The national grocer is considering dumping its new service within the next few months. Nothing is definitive yet, however.

Now, it seems, if you want that sort of convenience, your time to take advantage of it could be limited.

The popular grocer is considering shutting down the service within the next several months, The Champion Newspaper reported.

"We’re going to continue for a few more months before we make a final decision," Brenda Reid, a Publix spokeswoman, told the newspaper. "In the meantime, we’re going to make a few changes such as publicizing the service more externally."Β 

The Toco Hill service launched last August as a one-year pilot program. It's one of three curbside programs the grocer operates nationwide.
