The City of Briarcliff Initiative is delighted that Tucker 2014 has finally received their feasibility study. (It came from Santa, no less).
Tucker is clearly feasible as a city. The study may show only a $3.2 million surplus; but that's by a very conservative methodology, compared to the CVI studies of Briarcliff and Lakeside. But the exact number doesn't really matter. The key outcome is that they can finance a city, with plenty of safety net.
Tucker can be a self-financing and self-controlled city. That's great for all of us.
The next step in the process is for the Tucker and Briarcliff groups to get together to help the citizens develop a design, so that all of the people of central DeKalb can create appropriate cities. That's what most of the people in our area want.
So Congratulations Tucker! And let's get on with the rest of the job.
