  • MICHAELS MAKE-IT TAKE-IT EVENTS

When/Where: Wednesday from 10am to noon and Sunday from 1pm to 3pm at Michaels
Why Go: On Wednesday, children ages 3 and up are invited to join in the Dr. Seuss birthday celebration by making a festive bookmark to bring home. On Sunday (with the purchase of a fine art canvas), children and adults ages 12 and up are invited to create their own personal masterpiece to bring home.  
Pricing: Free

When/Where: Friday at 7:30pm in the Michael C. Carlos Museum Reception Hall
Why Go: PJs encouraged, children will first visit the monsters of the ancient world in the exhibition Monsters, Demons and Winged Beasts and then enjoy popcorn and hot chocolate while they watch a showing of Monsters, Inc., which is rated G.
Pricing: $5 (Free for museum members)

Why Go: Get your Saturday off to a great start and have fun exercising with your family - and encouraging those healthy habits! Support Briarlake and register online through Thursday at 11:59pm for the 5K or 1 mile Fun Run or register on Saturday beginning at 7:30am.
Pricing: $10 - $25

When/Where: Saturday from 9am to noon at the Home Depot
Why Go: Join your children as they learn do-it-yourself skills and tool safety while building a race car, then find the items you need for your latest do-it-yourself project.

  • COSMIC BOWLING

When/Where: Friday and Saturday evenings beginning at 8pm at Funtime Bowl
Why Go: Featuring music, black lights, dancing lights and glow lanes, Cosmic Bowling is fun for children of all ages - if your little ones are still awake, bumper bowling ends at 10pm.
Pricing: $4 per game per person. Shoe rental is $3.
