Ground Broken On Mason Mill Park Senior Center

Construction is expected to be finished in December.

DeKalb County Commissioners and county CEO Burrell Ellis on Thursday broke ground for a new senior center at Mason Mill Park located at 1340 McConnell Drive.

Construction is expected to be finished in December. The county is also building senior centers in the north and south sections of DeKalb County.

This is how the county government describes the senior center at Mason Mill Park:

The new 15,000 square-foot center will serve seniors age 55 and above, replete with arts and crafts rooms for drawing, painting, carving, pottery, quilting and sewing, a café, a large multi-purpose room, an exercise room, a billiards room, classrooms, activity spaces, a community meeting room, a computer lab, a fully equipped fitness room, a commercial kitchen, a large social hall, access to walking trails, and sitting areas inside and outside the grounds.
