Kroger Recalling Bakery Item

The stores in Toco Hill and North Decatur are included in the recall.

Heads up if you frequent Kroger's bakery.

The Kroger Co. Atlanta Division said today it is recalling select in-store made Bakery Mardi Gras King Cake Cinnamon sold in four states because it may contain pecans not listed on the label.

Customers who purchased the product between Dec. 30, 2012 and Feb. 4, 2013, should return the product to stores for a full refund or replacement.

People allergic to pecans could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume this product. For consumers who are not allergic to pecans, there is no safety issue with the product.

The Kroger stores in the following states that are included in this recall are: Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and eastern Tennessee.

  • Bakery Mardi Gras King Cake Cinnamon, in-store made, with “sell by” dates of February 7, 2013 and before, under the following UPC Code: 4157327767.
