Mercer Speaker Series Launches with Arby’s Vice President Presentation on Branding

JoAnn Herold will give a presentation titled, "Marketing Your Brand," on March 22 at 6pm in the Cecil B. Day Hall.

's Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics is launching a new monthly speaker series showcasing expertise from successful alumni. The Stetson Success series kicks off this month with a presentation by JoAnn Herold, vice president of brand marketing for Arby's Restaurant Group and vice chair of the Arby's Foundation, on March 22 at 6pm. Her presentation is titled "Marketing and Your Brand," and will be held in Cecil B. Day Hall on the university's Atlanta Campus. The event is free and open to the public but preregistration is required.

Herold is a 1998 graduate of Mercer's Executive MBA program and has extensive experience as a marketing executive with a successful track record of growing brands by driving sustained sales and profit growth. She has developed and executed tactical strategies for organizations such as Arby's Restaurant Group, HoneyBaked Ham Company, InterContinental Hotels, American Marketing Association, The Borgata Spa & Casino, Shoney's, Captain D's and McDonald's. Herold's areas of expertise include strategic planning, innovation and product development, traditional and non-traditional brand planning, social and digital e-commerce, public relations development, advertising, creative facilitation and team leadership. She has served as president and member of the executive advisory board of the American Marketing Association.

The next confirmed speaker will be May 24 with David Whelan, executive MBA, class of 2009, and senior vice president of Blue Bird Corp., who will give a presentation titled "Why Manufacturing Matters!" Future series events are scheduled for April 26 and June 21.
