North Briarcliff's CommUnity Day This Weekend

The annual event by the North Briarcliff Civic Association will be held at Hawthorne Elementary School on Saturday.

The North Briarcliff Civic Association will hold its annual CommUnity Day on Saturday at Hawthorne Elementary School.

The event, which will run from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., will include free ice cream and a fire engine, plus there will additional events at Mary Scott Nature Park at the same time and a guided walk at 12:30 p.m.

The association's Neighborhood Watch program will also be present with Scruffy, a police mascot, and several DeKalb County officers. The watch program will also have Home I.D. fingerprinting kits for parents to use with their children at home. The kits are used by the FBI and police to help reunite missing children with their families, according to an association email.
