The Week in Review

The top five stories from the previous week in the North Druid Hills-Briarcliff area.

  1. : This ongoing story came to a head Wednesday when two suspects were arrested in Gwinnett County, one of whom, as it turns out, wasn't involved in the March 15 killing. On Friday, a to police.Β
  2. : This is a pretty cool story, and there's bound to be an update or two as Daniel Chaney continues to promote the Slide Capo. And then one day, you'll walk into a Guitar Center, and you'll see a Slide Capo, and you'll be like, "Hey, this kid from our community invented that product." And the person next to you will be like, "Yeah?" And you'll be like, "Yeah," and that'll be kind of satisfying.Β
  3. : This couple off Lavista put on their own blues/rock show in their yard this weekend, and that seemed delightfully quirky. It's like Wayne's World 2 if you ever saw that movie. That's why we assigned the article. We were like, "Whoa, that's like Wayne's World 2," and we called Ben Shnider to get to the bottom of it. And one for journalism.
  4. : A lot of people read this story. But that probably has something to do with the fact that "Blockbuster" is in the headline. A lot of the people who read the article were probably looking for something else and stumbled onto North Druid Hills-Briarcliff Patch. This was fully intended. Look forward next week to "Goodbye, Toco Hill Walgreens."
  5. : This story didn't run last week, but the wicked number of never-ending comments on this story necessitated its inclusion in this list. People can't get enough of this story, and not in the history of this website (which totals about... three and a half months) has any story inspired this much public discussion.
