The Week in Review

The top five stories from the previous week in the North Druid Hills-Briarcliff area.

  1. : Easily the most popular story of the week, and I expect Chick-fil-A-related news to top the traffic this week as well. Patch will be out this week, covering the store's opening. We usually don't go this nuts over a store or restaurant opening, but love them some Chick-fil-A.
  2. : The final chapter on a long and tumultuous school planning process that left most residents in our community satisfied except for residents in Medlock. The school has closed (though it could reopen in some other fashion, I'm told), and Patch photographer Kate Awtrey was there to capture a few final images.
  3. : None of these improvements are likely to happen anytime soon, but, when they do, public transportation could really get a much-needed kick in the butt. No one, I'm sure, will dispute the horrific traffic along North Druid Hills and Clairmont roads come rush hour.
  4. : There's a whole article that goes with this headline, but I probably could have just written the headline and published it. It's a headline story. Old lady robbing a pharmacy. Local news doesn't get much better than that.Β
  5. : Another headline story. You kind of need the full story though because the headline raises more questions than it answers. (And, yes, it's a very obvious reference to the exploitation movie out right now.)
