The Week in Review

The top five stories from the previous week in North Druid Hills-Briarcliff Patch.

  1. Man Threatens to Shoot Up Toco Hill Kroger 'Like in the Batman Movie': An unnerving story. I'll be putting a call into DeKalb County police this week to see if they've done any more on this. (It'd be interesting to know where the call came from, for instance.)
  2. Sip Wine and Tapas Restaurant Coming to Toco Hills: An interesting store/restaurant. Good for them, good for the shopping center, and, I'm assuming, good for residents of this community. What do you think?
  3. If DeKalb County Had One High School?: Not good PR for the DeKalb County School System. (Though public relations has never been their strong suit, objectively speaking.) But somewhat interesting to find out the school system was trending on Twitter last week. And not for a good reason.
  4. Beer Growler Nation Pledges to Give Back Each Month: Beer Growler Nation opened last year and has quickly worked to establish itself in the community. This week, they announced another initiative.
  5. Lawrence's Cafe Owner Eager To Open: This place used to be on Buford Highway. Now they're moving to Decatur.
