The Week in Review

The top five stories from the previous week in the North Druid Hills-Briarcliff area.

  1. : Judging by the comments on the story, people don't seem to have much of a problem with the postal service considering that office's closure. But, hey, maybe fans of the office haven't showed up. Correct me if I'm wrong.
  2. : Bill Conley was known for his championship football coaching elsewhere, but he was well-known and liked at . We rounded up some coverage from Patch, other news sites and postings on a memorial Facebook page to remember Conley.
  3. : A good number of people seemed to dig this story about a family passing on their pastime–and their Medlock memories–to their son. A nice, nostalgic piece of local journalism on one family.
  4. : Christine O'Donnell, the former Delaware senatorial hopeful, is coming to our favorite book store later this month with her book Troublemaker. Here's to hoping her stop is as interesting as it could be.
  5. : North Druid Hills-Briarcliff Patch is rigorous about editorial objectivity. We struggle, however, when the subject is Chipotle. We go there a lot. We don't even tell them our order anymore. We just walk in the door and they're like, "Chicken burrito, rice, pinto beans, mild, corn, sour cream, cheese and lettuce?" And we're like, "Yeah." It's really sad, actually.
