The Week in Review

The top five stories from the previous week in North Druid Hills-Briarcliff Patch.

  1. More City of DeKalb Study?: None of us live in an incorporated area. This pertains to us.
  2. Three Oakridge Condos Reported Burgled Wednesday: A reminder to people living in condo or apartment complexes: these are common burglary targets. I look at the statistics (and many actual reports) each week. Particularly complexes without access gates, I've noticed. If you live in a complex without a gate, you need to be extra careful.
  3. McDonald's to Replace Atlanta Diner?: We don't like to make assumptions, but we assumed this development wouldn't be met with glee. So far, we've been right.
  4. RaceTrac Friction Not Just in North Druid Hills: A story worth taking notice of if you're paying attention to the RaceTrac stuff on Lawrenceville Highway. That story gets bigger this weekend when the proposed project goes before its Community Council in Stone Mountain.
  5. POLL: Do You Shop at North DeKalb Mall?: North DeKalb Mall is trying to lure people back. We wanted you to weigh in on whether you're game. Some of you did. If you haven't, please do. This poll is like Waffle House. It's always open.
