The Week in Review

The top five stories from the previous week in North Druid Hills-Briarcliff Patch.

  1. St. Pius Loses State Championship to Buford 10-3: Tough game, but Buford's ranked defense was simply too much for the Golden Lions. Good luck to departing seniors.
  2. Old-School Record Shop Opens in Oak Grove: This story reached nearly 1,000 people just on Facebook, so people are really digging this story.
  3. Shopping Center Owners Call Annexation Government Overreach: A letter to the editor from shopping center owners in North Decatur.
  4. Merry Hills Area Suffers Rash of Auto Break-Ins: I've decided I'm no longer going to get police reports on auto break-ins. There are just too many of them, and it's the same thing almost every time. Deeply repetitive. I'll just try and give you guys a heads up when there's a disconcerting cluster of them.
  5. Everbest Market Closes a Year After Opening: Sad to see a new business go so quickly. But that's the nature of the restaurant industry, unfortunately.
