The Week in Review

The top five stories from the previous week in the North Druid Hills-Briarcliff area.

  1. Voters Approve Sunday Alcohol Sales, School SPLOSTS: A ton of local school projects are headed our way after DeKalb County voters approved the continuation of 1-cent sales tax for school construction. A lot of people are happy about it, some people are not say happy. You be the judge.
  2. Melton's App & Tap Shuts Doors Temporarily: We'll have more details this week, but a lot of people must love Melton's because a large number of people read this story and send it around via social media.
  3. Ready for a New City Next Door?: Another long-term story continues to inch its way down the timeline. Big changes may be coming to our west. We're also looking into a recent mention that some people may be looking at similar cityhood in Toco Hill, though that seems a bit farfetched.
  4. Oliver, Holcomb Want To Slow Brookhaven Cityhood Process: Another piece of the Brookhaven cityhood puzzle.
  5. St. Pius Weekly Sports Recap: Boys' cross country won its second straight AAA state title. Football continues to have a great season. seems to be doing well all around.
