is holding a used book sale that starts this Friday. It'll be a good opportunity to buy a few actual printed hard-bound books before they disappear into the jet wash of Kindles and Nooks and whatever other electronic devices people are using to read words these days.
The sale starts Friday at 1pm and goes until 4pm. A library "friends-only" sale starts at 11am and goes to 1pm, however. The sale will continue Saturday from 10am - 4pm.
It's a family event for all ages. Buy some books. Maybe they'll be worth something when your kids are older.
