PREGNANCY WATER AEROBICS

When/Where: Friday from 7pm to 8pm in the .

Why Go: Okay expectant moms, this one’s for you. A terrific opportunity to take some time out for yourself while cooling off and staying fit in the pool. You can drop-in to try a class or register for the whole session which goes through June 10th - no need to be a member of the Wellness Center but you do need medical consent.

Pricing: $18 per class or $120 for six classes.

2. OAK GROVE ELEMENTARY MULTICULTURAL FAIR

When/Where: Saturday from 10am to 2pm at .

Why Go: Show your support for Oak Grove, enjoy and learn while exploring International Booths, an International Potluck, an art show, outdoor crafts, informational dance sessions and a music performance by the 3rd grade.

Pricing: Free to attend and open to the community.

When/Where: Saturday from 10:30am to noon at the .

Why Go: Sponsored by the Foundation of Wesley Woods, this interactive event will be led by Wesley Woods Horticultural Therapist, Kirk Hines, who will discuss spring planting and how seniors can get the most benefit while gardening.

Pricing: Free but please register.

4. PONY RIDE DAY

When/Where: Saturday from 1pm to 4pm at Little Creek Farm. (Across from the QT on the Lawrenceville Hwy side of North Dekalb Mall.)

Why Go:  Pony rides! My family is all over this one. I can’t count the number of times I’ve driven past Little Creek Farm with my backseat passengers begging me for a pony visit. Follow the signs for parking. Rides will be in the indoor ring.

Pricing: A $5 donation is requested per ride with the proceeds to be applied towards the construction of a new outdoor riding ring. Water, baked goods, and Little Creek Farm Conservancy (the organization sponsoring the event) merchandise will also be for sale.

5. BERNICE MCFADDEN AUTHOR EVENT

When/Where: Saturday, 5pm to 6:30pm at the . 

Why Go: After spending the early part of her day with the Atlanta Writer’s Club, Bernice McFadden, (author of O: The Oprah Magazine “Book to Watch” Glorious), will head to Eagle Eye to discuss and sign her books. Grab a slice of pizza, just a few shops down, before or after the event.

Pricing: Free to attend.
