Why Go? The church's annual collection drive of coats and blankets benefits the Atlanta Day Shelter for women and children.

Why Go? The fifth annual walk helps benefit DeKalb County residents getting mental health, substance addiction and developmental disability services from the county's Community Service Board.

When/Where: Friday from 9:15 am to 1:30 pm and then 6 to 8 pm; Saturday (half-price day) from 9 am to 12:30 pm at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, 1722 Oak Grove Road, Decatur

Why Go? All sorts of things are for sale--clothes, shoes, baby gear, nursery items, books, movies, toys, and more.

When/Where: St. Pius game is at 7:30 on Friday at St. Pius, 2674 Johnson Road, Atlanta; Lakeside game is at 7:30 on Friday at Adams Stadium, 2383 North Druid Hills Road, Atlanta

Why Go? We're right in the middle of football season. Go out, as it starts to get a little chillier outside, and have a good time cheering for your favorite team.

Why Go? This based-on-a-true-story film about how the Oakland As general manager used some clever tinkering on a smaller budget to run his team stars Brad Pitt and has some pretty good critical buzz right now.
