White Powder At VA Hospital No Threat

The FBI said late Monday the powder posed no threat.

Hazmat units responded Monday when a package containing white powder was delivered to the Atlanta VA Medical Center on Clairmont Road near Decatur.

The FBI said late Monday there was no threat, according to WSB-TV.

Letters containing powder also were received Friday at the Richard Russell Federal Building in downtown Atlanta and Thursday at the Herald Gazette newspaper office in Barnesville, about 60 miles south of Atanta, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Tests on the substance found no threat.
