“Their
Life's Work” is a new book that follows the 1970s Pittsburgh Steelers over the years and examines what the game of football gives to players, and what it takes from them; the personal bonds among the players, and their lives after football. Pomerantz is a former journalist and a visiting lecturer in the communications department at Stanford University. He was a distinguished visiting professor of journalism at Emory University from 1999-2001, and his papers are housed in MARBL. The book will be available for sale and signing, and light refreshments will be served. Jones Room, Woodruff Library Level 3.
