This kid-friendly, hands-on exhibit, Cells: The Universe Inside Us, is geared for children in grades 5-12.

In this exhibit, created by the Maryland Science Center, visitors will be able to conduct virtual experiments using gold particles and stem cells; walk into a giant cell; match a cell's shape to its job; compare a smoker's lungs to a non-smoker's lungs; design a cancer-fighting nanoparticle in a virtual lab - and more!

The David J. Sencer CDC Museum is open to the public and admission and parking are free - because the museum is the only part of the CDC open to the public, there is a security process when entering the CDC campus.  All adults over the age of 16 must have a government–issued photo ID.  See more details about security information here.
