Science at Emory: The Lab Changing The World

The kick-off event of the Atlanta Science Festival, http://www.atlantasciencefestival.org/events/event/580 will feature short lectures on how basic-science research in the lab answers important societal questions, from tracking the climate change to better diagnosing heart diseases. The lectures will be followed by lab tours. Come and see the world-class science being done in your backyard!

About the Atlanta Science Festival:
The first event of its kind in the Metro area, the Atlanta Science Festival, March 22-­29, 2014, is a celebration of local science and technology. The week includes over 100 events across the city, most of them free ­for adults, children, families, and curious people of all ages. The Festival concludes with the Exploration Expo, the city's biggest interactive science event on March 29 at Centennial Olympic Park.
