Volunteer with Junior Achievement - Help Students Find the Next Big Idea
JAMS (Junior Achievement Means Success) is an innovative program
that prepares and inspires students to be successful in middle school and
beyond. In JAMS, students
work in teams to identify a need in the marketplace, create a
business idea, develop and present a business plan and ultimately compete
against other students in the Business Challenge Competition. The
overarching goal of JAMS is to show students how entrepreneurship can be a
pathway to economic and social empowerment.
Volunteers
serve as judges for the Business Challenge
Competition. Judges are asked to evaluate feasibility of
students’ solutions as well as provide constructive feedback. Our judges are an
integral component of our JA Means Success after school program. They help
students better understand how their work as students prepares them for the
workforce.
