Road Construction

Maybe I've missed the latest update regarding N. Druid Hills Road construction, but the last post I saw was over a year ago saying the construction will be done in 15 months.  It's past 15 months now and the road work is still going on.  I have to leave the house an entire hour early for work every day and am at the end of my rope with this construction. When will be be done??!!

I recently heard that many more condo housing will be going up on N. Druid between Taget & Toco Hill Shopping Center. Think traffic has been and is bad now, wait till there are 1,000 more cars on N. Druid Hills and in our neighborhood. As it stands, Houston Mill backs up from Clifton to LaVista each morning. At some point we will have total grid lock. Traffic will back up onto LaVista. LaVista will be backed up from beyond Piedmont all the way to past Clairmont & N. Druid Hills....backed up from Stone Mtn to Peachtree Rd with no one moving. Talk about a nightmare.

i guess we need better candidates for the Board of Commissioners! Elected officials with foresight who would've recognized the 'law of unintended consequences' and the affects to the community-at-large.

I have written Jeff Rader's office many times requesting information on the construction mess at North Druid Hills and Briarcliff. Very little info or help. There are many days that go by when no one is actually working. It's ridiculous!! I predict the I-85/Ga 400 flyovers will be completed before this intersection is open.

When it's sunny or rainy, they do nothing. Sidewalks with major holes, no crosswalk markings on road, they still haven't fixed the sidewalk they tore up and the kids have to walk the street because the contractor dumped the dirt and broken concrete in the yards, pour line markings, months behind on anything, and now they have drivers missing the turns.
