Armed Robbers Stalked Couple to Northlake?

The incident occurred in Briarcliff Village's parking lot Saturday afternoon.

A Texas man said he was robbed at gunpoint in a Northlake shopping center Saturday afternoon by a pair of suspects he and his girlfriend have seen before - one from earlier that day, in fact, DeKalb County police said.

The victim, a 30-year-old man, said he was waiting in his car for his girlfriend in front of DOTS clothing store in Briarcliff Village at 2152 Henderson Mill Road shortly before 6 p.m. when the first suspect opened his front passenger door and pointed a black pistol at him, the police report said.

A second suspect opened the front driver's side door and began to take items from the vehicle, a 2013 tan GMC Yukon. The suspects fled in a dark blue Nissan Altima, and the victim ran to the nearby Subway to call police.

The victim told police he saw the first suspect earlier that day while he was getting a haircut near Covington Highway and Memorial Drive. He said he saw the suspect pacing in the parking lot near his vehicle as he left the barbershop.

The victim's girlfriend said she's familiar with the area and believes the suspects frequently visit barbershops around North Hairston Road and Central Drive in Stone Mountain.

The suspects got away with $2,000 in cash, a gold and diamond watch worth about $5,000, several thousands of dollars worth of men's and women's designer clothing and other items, according to the report.

The first suspect was described as a black male between 23 and 24 years old, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 160 pounds. His hair was low-cut, and he wore a white T-shirt with orange sleeves, blue jeans and a pink Hello Kitty backpack. He carried the gun.

The second suspect was described as a black male between 35 and 40 years old, about 6 feet 3 inches tall and 300 pounds. His hair was also low-cut, and he wore a white T-shirt and black shorts.
