Two armed men rob Bilal Halal Meat & Grocery
Two armed men robbed of about $4,000 Tuesday night, DeKalb County police said.

Two men were leaving the store at 3408 Clairmont Rd. when two suspects approached them at gunpoint at about 11pm, the police report said. One of the men dropped his food and ran for help while the other was held at gunpoint by the second suspect. The first suspect entered the store and took the cash and the store key.

The suspects fled the store on foot and were headed toward the Brayton Apartments nearby. While fleeing, the second suspect dropped the handgun, which caused the handle to break, and pieces of it were left on the ground, the report said.

One of the victims told police he had seen the first suspect several times before the robbery and believed the man lived in the 1800 block of Skyland Trail.

No one was injured.

The first suspect was described as a black male between 6 feet and 6 feet 3 inches tall and between 140 and 170 pounds. He wore a black T-shirt, a black baseball cap, a full beard and mustache and short, black hair.

The second suspect was described as an obese black male wearing a dark do-rag. He carried a black handgun.

Armed man robs Walgreens on DeKalb Industrial Way
An armed man held up a on DeKalb Industrial Way early Sunday morning, police said.

The pharmacy manager told police the suspect approached a customer, the manager and a cashier, pointed a gun and said, "Open up the drawer," at about 12:40am, the police report said.

The manager reached over the counter, opened the register and the suspect took an unknown amount of cash likely less than $100 and fled east on foot on North Decatur Road. No one was injured.

The suspect was described as a black male about 6 feet 2 inches tall and 180 pounds. He wore all black clothing, including a black hat and a black bandana across his face.

Burglar ransacks North Druid Hills Road apartment
A burglar ransacked an apartment on North Druid Hills Road on Tuesday and stole a cell phone and laptop computer, police said.

The 25-year-old victim told police she left her apartment in , 3454 North Druid Hills Rd., at 7:40am and returned at about 4:40pm to find her door forced open, the police report said. The apartment had been ransacked, and a cell phone and laptop computer worth nearly $600 together had been taken.

A tenant in a nearby apartment also said she noticed at about 1pm her door had been cracked open.

Burglar steals laptop from Alderbrook Road home
A burglar broke into an Alderbrook Home between Aug. 13 and 14 and stole a laptop computer, police said.

The 54-year-old victim told police he left his home in the 1900 block of Alderbrook Road at about 4:30pm Aug. 13 and returned at about 7:50pm the next day, the police report said. He noticed his back door was damaged and his IBM laptop valued at about $600 was missing.
