Domestic argument with a bite

A man living in apartments on the 2300 block of Lawrenceville Highway called police in response to a domestic argument that turned ugly on Dec. 27, police said.

The man and his girlfriend were arguing at around 9 pm about him leaving the apartment permanently. The woman attacked, grabbing him by the throat, and he fought her off by pushing her arms, which caused some scratching. As he walked away, she jumped onto him and bit him on the upper left side of his back. While trying to get her off this time, the man stepped on the television in the room. He grabbed her hair, pulling out hair tracks that were replaced before the police arrived. When police came, the man had scratches on his neck and arms in addition to the bite. The woman had scratches on her chest and arm. Neither of them requested medical aid.

The man said he would be leaving the apartment the next day and would definitely do so even after this incident.

Armed robbery on Northeast Expressway

A man walking near the bus stop at 2500 Northeast Expressway was pistol-whipped and robbed on Dec. 27, police said.

Around 4 pm, the man was walking towards the stop when someone hit him across the head with a silver pistol. Another suspect began to kick him in the head, leaving bruises on his face and on the back of his head. The suspects then took the victim's clothes, cell phone and wallet. A woman who witnessed the scene and called police yelled at the two suspects, who then fled from the scene. The victim then took what clothes he had left, walked to a nearby apartment complex and called 911 from there. He was taken to Atlanta Medical Center for treatment. Two other witnesses saw two men walk toward another nearby apartment complex, but they did not see the incident. When police attempted to contact the woman who had called 911, the woman told the operator not to call her and she was uncooperative.
