A selection of crimes in the North Druid Hills-Briarcliff area reported to DeKalb County police over the last week.

North Decatur beauty supply store burgled
Someone broke into Golden Beauty Supply in North Decatur and stole thousands of dollars of wigs and other beauty products sometime before Tuesday morning, DeKalb County police said.

The store's owner called police after he arrived at the store on North Decatur Road shortly before 5:40 a.m., the police report said. The responding officer noted that the front glass window had been shattered with a big rock. A glass display case was also broken. More than 30 wigs worth more than $4,000 and $500 worth of electric clippers were stolen.

Car stolen from Budget Auto on Lawrenceville Highway
A 2004 Ford Crown Victoria was stolen from Budget Auto on Lawrenceville Highway last weekend, DeKalb County police said.

The dealership at 1766 Lawrenceville Highway believes the car was stolen between 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday, the police report said.

Woman tries to steal hygiene items from Toco Hill Publix

A Decatur woman was charged with stealing personal hygiene items from the Toco Hill Publix on Monday afternoon, DeKalb County police said.

The 42-year-old woman was arrested at the store and charged with shoplifting, the police report said.
