Man robbed at knifepoint, injured on Buford Highway
Two armed robbers held a man at knifepoint and stole cash, an ID and a cell phone on Buford Highway on Saturday, DeKalb County police said.

The 32-year-old victim told police he left Regency Woods Apartments at 3160 Buford Highway at 5am and was walking north toward Bramblewoods Road when two suspects approached him from behind, the police report said. The victim said he felt a knife on his right side, so he said, "I don't have any money."

The first suspect punched him several times in the face, took his wallet and phone and fled north on foot toward North Cliff Valley Way. The victim said he blacked out but a taxi driver took him back to his apartment at the 3500 block of Buford Highway. He told police he fell asleep, woke up and went to Northside Hospital at about 11:45am.

Merry Lane victim robbed for fourth time?
A burglar stole a laptop and a wallet from the home of a Merry Lane man late Monday night – the forth time the victim said he'd been robbed.

The 34-year-old victim returned to his home in the 1300 block of Merry Lane at about 11:30pm, the police report said. When he opened the door, his dogs ran into the backyard, and as the victim turned he said he saw a figure run from the backyard. He couldn't tell who the person was because the area was poorly lit, he told police.

He checked his bedroom and discovered that a $400 Toshiba laptop, $50 in cash, a driver's license, a credit card and his wallet had been taken. The doors and the windows were secure, and the victim called his alarm company, which said the alarm had not been activated. He told police he recently changed the locks on his doors and no one has a key.

A police officer could not find the point of entry.

Burglar steals laptop, camera from Clairmont Road home
A burglar broke into a woman's Clairmont Road home Tuesday night, searched the house and left with a laptop and a camera, police said.

The 31-year-old victim told police she left her home in the 1400 block of Clairmont Road that morning at 6:45, the police report said. When she returned at 9pm, she discovered the front door was unlocked. She walked inside and saw that several bedroom and closet doors she had closed were also open, so she called 911.

The arriving officer noticed the rear kitchen door had been kicked in, damaging the door, deadbolt and the door frame, the report said. The suspect had checked the entire home, leaving doors and drawers open. A Dell laptop valued at $2,500 and a digital camera valued at $200 were taken from the home.
