A selection of crimes in the North Druid Hills-Briarcliff area reported to DeKalb County police recently.

Man claims he was beaten after leaving nightclub
A man told DeKalb County police several men beat him while he walked back to Huntington Station Apartments after leaving a nightclub early Sunday morning.

The 25-year-old victim had reached his apartment complex at 2559 Nantucket Dr. after leaving the nearby El Colorado nightclub at Northside Parkway and Plaster Road when he was attacked at about 3am, the police report said.

He suffered several small cuts and possibly a broken nose. He was taken to Northside Hospital.

Burglar hits Briarcliff apartment
An apartment at the was burglarized June 29, DeKalb County police said.

Police believe the burglar entered the apartment at 1519 Druid Valley Dr. through the front door between 7:15am and 8pm and left through the rear, taking two laptop computers, $200 Air Jordan tennis shoes and an iPod, valued together at nearly $1,000.

Car stolen near Emory Clairmont campus
A Honda Accord was reported stolen from a home near Emory University's Clairmont Road campus Tuesday, Dekalb County police said.

The car was stolen from a home in the 900 block of Vistavia Circle.

Dade Paper reports broken van tail light
Someone damaged the passenger-side tail light to a van owned by Dade Paper, a Briarcliff company, on Monday, DeKalb County police said.

The company is at 2111 Briarcliff Rd.
