'Grandma Bandit' Strikes Another Pharmacy

Atlanta police are searching for a woman responsible for several armed robberies, including Walgreens in North Druid Hills last week.

Last week, North Druid Hills-Briarcliff Patch who has now been dubbed the "Grandma Bandit." She held up the at 2320 North Druid Hills Rd. on May 16.

Well, it appears she struck again Tuesday, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. This time it was a Rite Aid on Howell Mill Road just before 10am. Here's part of the story:

Atlanta police are looking for the older woman accused of robbing four pharmacies in two weeks, Officer K.Y. Jones said. And the woman bears a striking resemblance to the one suspected in similar crimes in DeKalb County, right down to the black University of Georgia ball cap.

The woman, described as being about 5-feet-6 inches tall and weighing between 120 and 130 pounds, appears to be around 60 years old, police said. She wears sunglasses during the crimes and has puffy, swollen cheeks, according to surveillance pictures.

The Lindbergh-LaVista Corridor Coalition also sent out an email to members Tuesday evening saying that Atlanta police believe the suspect may live in the Ansley or Morningside Area.
