Man Encounters Intruder in Home at Night

The man said he was in his bedroom when he heard a noise from downstairs in his Wilson Road home.

A Wilson Road man encountered a potential burglar in his home when he went to check on a strange noise downstairs early Tuesday morning, DeKalb County police said. 

The 27-year-old man was in his bedroom in the 3100 block of Wilson Road when he heard the noise at about 12:12am, the police report said. When he walked out of the room, he saw a suspect wearing all black coming up the stairs. 

The suspect pointed an unknown object at the victim's and told him to lay on the floor. The suspect fled the home through the front door and ran in the direction of Hudson Road, the report said.

Nothing was reported missing from the home, but a rear window was broken where the suspect entered. The victim was unable to provide a description of the suspect.
