Man Held Up at Gunpoint in Front of Apartment

The incident occurred at the Villas at Druid Hills on Buford Highway on Saturday afternoon.

A man was held up at gunpoint outside his Buford Highway apartment Saturday afternoon, DeKalb County police said.

The victim, 30, was walking to his truck from his apartment in the Villas at Druid Hills at 3181 Buford Highway when he was approached by two suspects at about 1:45 p.m., the police report said.

"Give me, give me," the men said repeatedly.

The victim told police he didn't immediately understand what they were saying because he doesn't speak English, and the first suspect pulled out a silver handgun and pointed it at him.

He said he turned away to run off, and the suspects fled toward the apartment complex's entrance. Nothing was stolen.

The first suspect with the gun was described as a black male about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 200 pounds with an orange shirt, black shorts and shoulder-length dreadlocks. The second suspect was simply described as a 6-foot-tall black male.
